What is UnfOlding?
UnfOlding is a complex training programme of HCAF for people who are interested in conscious ageing. The programme focuses mostly on individual-level interventions one might want to apply to their own life.
If you are interested in community-level interventions about conscious ageing and conscious living, please check out our SPD (Social Permaculture Design) Courses.
Next course
UnfOlding courses vary in terms of length and location. Some of them are shorter, some of them are longer, some are online, some are in the Netherlands, some in Hungary, and some in Malta.
Currently available courses with open applications:
Story of UnfOlding
The original UnfOlding training content was developed in the framework of an Erasmus + project, funded by the EU. More info about that project. This project lives on and we continue to offer the training to interested people. From 2024 the course will be fee-based and the funds raised continue to serve some of the free trainings and events targeted to people who can not afford to participate in fee-based training but are interested in conscious ageing.
Online learning community
OsmosisCare.Net is our own online learning and community platform.
(Much better than Facebook 😉 )
Registration and participation are open and free for most of the spaces.
Please note, that you will only be allowed to join certain groups if you upload a clear profile photo to your member profile. This is important because we want online community members to be able to see and feel who they are connecting and communicating with. Join our platform here:

Testimonials
Since starting the program, the way I view my ageing has changed in the following ways:
“It has become broader, there are so many variations”
“It has broadened, and sometimes deepened, my perception and view of the subject. Increased awareness and broadening of knowledge, as well as being able to discuss it with peers from diverse backgrounds and ages, makes a difficult subject tangible and suddenly less grand.”
“I am more aware of the need to talk about growing older.”
“Awareness, trying to plan everything and deal with it consciously instead of letting it happen to me”
“Getting older doesn’t mean you can’t do anything anymore. It’s nice to spar with people about growing older and hear other perspectives.”
“Broader view and more urgency”
“I was helped by a number of “tools” that allowed me to achieve a number of things even better and more clearly.”
“I don’t have a different view, but I am more aware that I have a good approach to life, what measures I took and what expectations I have. I have realized that this is not obvious for everyone.”
“Because I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the start of the program, my view on growing older has completely changed”
“What I especially remember is that the circle of people around you is especially important with people close by”
“It has not changed, but it confirms that growing older is a phase in life with ups and downs. It’s nice to pay attention to it together with others. “
“Yes and no, it has solidified and strengthened my thoughts on this. Without extra worries.”
